Office of Web Communications
The ISU website is a collaboration between Web Communications (WebCom) and each department, office, and college.
WebCom is responsible for:
- Maintenance of the content management system (CMS)
- CMS Training
- Institutional web design
- Branding of the site
- Information architecture
- Campus community pages
Staff members from individual units are responsible for the creation and maintenance of content on their pages.
What is a CMS?
CMS stands for Content Management System. A CMS is a front-end user interface that allows a user to add, modify and remove content from a website without knowing how to code. Users can make these changes without the intervention of a webmaster.
